Hi experts!
Can anyone help with the following situation I am facing:
We have both demand and sales in plant, as well as manufacturing and storage. There is no transportation lane, therefore there is no Transportation Lead Time.
However, there is quality lead time to be considered, and it cannot be within the Production Lead Time.
We decided to configure a DC for the plant, so we can have a lane to set the quality lead time.
The question is: how do we copy the demand data to that new DC, since the demand - which is at the plant - will be copied from Supply Planning solution?
PS. Plant and DC are going to have different IDs, but they are physically at the same location.
I'd appreciate your help!
Thanks in advance.

Hi Joao,
You can explore Data Realignment functionality. In data realignment, map LOCID attribute and enter Source as Plant and Target as DC. Process only the demand key figure. Mark "Keep Source Key Figure Values" as "No". Once this project is executed, demand data will be copied from Plant to DC. The drawback of this approach is - planners need to create new realignment project in every S&OP cycle which is a manual task (It is possible to copy projects with a single click though). You can read more about data realignment here.
Other approach could be to bring demand data in some other key figure and set up attribute transformation to shift the data by number of period same as that of quality lead time. The transformed key figure can be copied to demand key figure which is input for supply planning. There won't be any need of maintaining DC location and T-lane.

Joao,
If I understand correctly below is your network -
Customer - DC (to facilitate Quality lead time) - Plant (MFG)
DC will be Non-Stocking Node.
Consensus Demand will be copied from Customer to DC and when you run IO, you should run for DC and Plant. For DC it won't generate any stock as it is marked as Non-Stocking node.
When you run SOP operator, DC demand will be transferred to Plant as Dependent Demand which will generate Production receipts.

Hello Joao,
The question is: how do we copy the demand data to that new DC, since the demand - which is at the plant - will be copied from Supply Planning solution? - Instead of loading the demand at the plant you can load it onto DC.
Another approach would be, don't create DC & let planning run complete. Then copy "Production Receipts" KF values to some custom KF. Here you can use attribute transformation or copy operator for offset the production receipts equivalent to quality lead time. Thereafter custom KF can be used to refer operational production plan.

Hi Joao,
As you mentioned you want to model new DC in your supply network and by doing that you are creating a virtual node in Supply Network with the lead time. Once you do that it will be the same standard process to copy/propagate demand from one node to the other when you run Supply Heuristic or Optimizer.
