QR codes in SAP Business One 10.0

I have a question in relation to the use of a QR scanner in SBO.

I’m working on a project to integrate standard maintenance jobs from our workshop into SBO. In our workflow, we use the Item Master Data to create an item number for each work task. With this item number, we then have predefined text and component description nicely in our quotation.

While implementing, it came to notice that the Sales Data tab has a box called “CREATE QR CODE FROM”. I am not sure into what extend our license foresees into the functionality of the program, but got curious if this function would be usable for us and importantly how can we get this working for us.

Let’s say that I create the QR codes on each work task. Would it then be possible to open/start a sales quotation, scan the QR code and have it in our quotation? Besides functionality, what are further requirements?

We are working in SAP Business One 10.0
