Putaway Process - Put 1 or more HUs in a Final bin

Hi All,

I have requirement to configure putaway setup in such a way that multiple HUs can be put into 1 Final bin based on capacity. Meaning, if capacity exists then multiple HUs will be stored in a bin.

Currently for every HU, one seprate bin is selected although capacity exists. I have  kept put away rule is 'Add to existing Stock or Bin'.

Can anyone please conform which parameter influences keeping HUs in 1 bin or multiple.

Thanks 🙂

Hi,

first of all: capacity in which way? Weight? Volume? Number of HUs?

second question: what is the storage behaviour and the putaway rule of your storage type?

third question: do you really mean "addition to stock"? Which means that it is the same material with the same stock information? Or do you want to have a mixed storage? Different material in the different HUs?

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!

Hi @JuergenPitz ,

Please find below details -
1. Capacity exists in terms of Weight. I see when 2 HUs are moved to separate Bins both bin shows 25 % capacity utilizations.

2. At storage type level , I have set putaway rule = 2 ( add to existing stock or bin )

3. I am putting same material in both HUs and quantity is also same in both HUs

Thanks !!

Hi. What is the "Level: add. to stock" in the storage type? That can not be "H", as there is no higher level HU.

@JuergenPitz  - "Level: add. to stock" has blank value i.e. Addition to Stock at Bin level

""Level: add. to stock" has blank value i.e. Addition to Stock at Bin level". OK, then it may be helpful to see all the settings in your storage type, at least I have no idea right now what else could be wrong.

Okay.. Thanks . Could you confirm what settings SAP recommends in case customer wants to keep multiple HUs in single bin for same product / batch combination
