Purchase Requisition AG in APO = Planned Order in ECC?

Dears,

- Why would a distribution receipt with ATP Cat type AG in SNP be seen in MD04 as planned order in ECC?

-How does procurement Type X work ? a) when there is no source of supply b) when the product is supposed to produced in house c) When the product is procured externally from another location in the supply network?

- What is the whole idea behind converting a Planned Order into a Purchase Requisition? Why would anyone do that except unless, i can't really produce at the nth hour as planned in my manufacturing location. Is this an nth hour thing?

Please refer SAP KBA - 2456326 - ATP Category and Application Indicator of SNP External Procurement Order changed after retransfer from ECC to APO.
