Purchase Order Version Management - Change in Material PO Text field

Hi,

As per our business requirements, user wants to impose the following:

1. Once a Purchase Order is released and outputted then if there is any change in the Material PO text (item detail tab) a new version should be created automatically.

Please tell me how this is possible in SAP ECC 6.0?

Hi,

PO Version Management is already active for various fields such as PO item quantity, item price, short description.......

Now, business requirement is to activate version management for long text field on PO item detail tab.

If this is possible then kindly let me know.

Hi,

Please activate version management for document category F and plant and purchasing organization combination under SPRO - Materials Management - Purchasing - Version Management - Set Up Version Management for External Purchasing Documents and you can make field selection as optional/required/suppressed and also maintain control data for version active. You also need to define reason for change and set up change display if required under version management.
