Hi everyone,
I am encountering an issue with the location product substitution functionality in SAP IBP and would appreciate your insights.
Setup details:
Infinite heuristic
Discontinuation with use-up (including SOFTSTOP and HARDSTOP)
When I run an application job, the substitution behaves correctly in most aspects:
When there is no stock for the old product, the system stops planning for it (projected stock becomes empty from that period onwards).
The Location-Product-Substitution Supply key figure for the new product are filled with the demand from the old product.
The issue:
Projected stock at the new product is not being generated.
If there is stock on hand for the new product, it gets consumed over several months, and I can see the projected stock accordingly. However, once the stock is used-up, projected stock remains empty.
The same happens if there is no initial stock on hand for the new product—projected stock just is not being generated.
Does anyone know why this might be happening and how to adjust the system to generate projected stock correctly? Am I missing a configuration or master data setup?
I’ve attached screenshots for reference.
Thanks a lot in advance for your help!
