Profit Maximization - not working

Greetings Experts

We have been perplexed by a phenomenon with regards to the the Profit and Delivery maximizations. If we set certain parameters for both choose the "Delivery maximization" button, the output given is for the entire planning horizon, in our case 4 years, for all sub-products and final products.

When we do the same and choose the "Profit maximization" button, the output given is only for one year of the planning horizon for all final products but for all years for the sub-products.

Can someone please explain this?

Hi Mohammad,

You won't get exact same results with both as both individual algorithms try to solve the different cost function. If you want to have an output for the whole horizon, update your cost accordingly.

Solving optimization problems is an art of playing with cost, as you are trying to minimize costs. Play with it and see what you get.
