Hi All,
Does the source item id in Product Source Item master data have an impact on sequencing of production activities?
Can we maintain production steps for key resources in SAP IBP? Can we see resource utiliztaion at a step level?
What is the best practise to achieve above requirements?
Request clarification before answering.
Hello Vijay,
In time-series based planning, demand on each component will be seen in same bucket irrespective of sequence of their utilization.
However, if you have several components used during different stages of production(and not in same bucket), you can consider defining component offset and production lead time. The components will get consumed according to the offset defined for them. Please more details in SAP help-
Thanks,
Rohit

Hi Rohit,
Thanks for your reply.
What can be the lowest granularity of defining the operation steps? Can it be in Days for heuristics/optimizer to consider? I am asking this, since most of they key figures (input for supply planning) in unified planning area are defined at Week level?
Can we change the planning level of these key figures from Wk level to day level and consider them in supply run input?
