Production Planning and detailed scheduling

Hi Guru's,

I have a scenario related to PPDS. when i am converting planned orders into production Order in RRP3 and RRP7 system converting those planned orders into Process order. Even master is related to discreate manufacturing (Routing & production version is created with routing )

Can i convert planned orders into Production order in PPDS and what are the requirements for that?

is there any configuration required to convert planned orders into Production orders ?

Which settings are required to convert planned order to production order in RRP3 and RRP7?

What might be reason that convert into Process order only ?
