Production order confirmation in a manufacturing environment

Dear all,

I'm new to this forum. We are using SAP in a manufacturing setup ( around 130+) CNC machines. The current practice is that operator do manual entry in shift log report ( paper). All three shift log reports for all the machines are manually confirmed in SAP by a data entry team. Example, today's 1st shift report will be updated by tomorrow morning 10'o clock. All these progress will be considered in tomorrow night MRP run. Hence there is a 2 day gap between SAP production order confirmation status vs the real time status. We looking for a solution most widly practiced in manufacturing set up of our kind. I personally look foward to get interesting ideas to my present challenge.
