Production Material Request Simulation in SAP EWM

Can anyone suggest how does the new functionality PMR simulation works in 1909 version.

Hello,

The functionality working as expected only for inventory related issues and not on any finance or production planning issues.

I have locked the component material in MM02 Transaction and tried to consume components. In such case facing error in Fiori apps and NWBC.

"We have added a simulation of Inventory Management postings, which will check for possible errors in the stock and consumption postings before they are processed in the central S/4 components like Inventory Management, Production Planning or Finance. This additional check ensures that users receive an accurate account of their stocks."

As per my understanding, It seems SAP developed internally and we don't need any set up for this simulation. I assume we can test this scenario. Example: Remove/Clear account no from account determination for the posting key temporarily for testing purpose. As per the above phrases, you should receive accounting error pop up during PMR Stock Consumption posting and no queue would generate in this case.

Could you please test and let us know outcomes.

I have executed a similar case where i tried to consume components for PMR without maintaining any valid G/L accounts for the valuation class. I can able to consume the components (RF & NWBC) without any error and queue struck occurs for Account determination error.

Here i could not able relate the new PMR simulation in 1909 version.

Hi Rajesh,

Did you maintain Synchronous ERP Posting ? If not, could you please try to activate.

SCM Extended Warehouse Management -> Extended Warehouse Management -> Interfaces -> ERP Integration-> Goods Movements -> Activate Synchronous Goods Movement Posting

Still not working then raise a ticket to SAP.

I have activated the synchronous ERP posting but still error is not populated while consuming the components and queue is struck with accounting error.
