Production Group Planning in IBP

Hi,

I am currently testing the Production Group Planning in SAP IBP but I have a query how will I link the Production Group Attribute with the Product ID? I cannot find a document on how to set it up.

I am trying to test if the Production Group Planning will be the solution to our concern which is we have multiple products that is running in the same production resource but IBP should be able to group the products based on can sizes. Production receipt of products with different can sizes in the same production resource should not be allowed.

Have anyone already tried this new functionality? Hoping for your inputs.

this feature will be shipped with 2508 and requires characteristic bases planning.
