Production Cycle Lot size with Weeks cover

Hi Experts

We currently have a requirement to generate production receipts based on a cycle. This cycle should include a weeks cover as well, meaning that for a specific product we can only produce every 6 weeks and must ensure that we maintain a stock cover of 4 weeks until the next production cycle.

We have managed to set up the production cycle correctly on a 6 weeks cadence but have not been able to set the coverage of 4 weeks within the lot size parameters. Is there an attribute or KF which can be used to carry out the cycle including coverage process as above?

Please check the lot sizing procedure feature (SAP Help link)

If you are looking only for 4 weeks of coverage then you can check lot size procedure =1 or 2, if you are looking for 6 week cycle + 4 weeks of cover then you can check lot size procedure 5.

Thanks for the feedback. We have been using Lot Size procedure 5. How can one introduce the cycle behavior of lot size procedure 3 into the Coverage build of 5.

Hi Ebrahim,

lot size procedure 5 is periodic planning and it can give output minimum every X weeks, it follows cycle but not exactly like lot size procedure 3.
