Hello SAP Community,
Can Product Allocation PAL be configured to redistribute the quantities of one given period so the PAL can be allocated to the order with the earliest delivery date?
For example
PAL 100 EA for Customer A for February Month is allocated
Order A comes in Customer A for 100 EA with delivery date 03.02.2025 PAL is allocated
Order B comes in Customer A for 100 EA with delivery date 01.02.2025 (earlier del date) Order is PAL blocked
Desired Scenario
Order A Customer A for 100 EA with delivery date 03.02.2025 remove PAL allocation from this order
Order B Customer A for 100 EA with delivery date 01.02.2025 (earlier del date) allocate PAL to this order instead
In short system should re-allocate PAL and ATP to earliest one. I'm not sure how PAL can be set up to function as ATP does.
Thanks

Hi sandritac,
You keep the PAL settings as you want them to be and simply execute a BOP run after the second order has been created. Sort in BOP according to delivery date and BOP can redistribute the confirmed quantity starting with the earliest delivery date.
Please review the BOP help documentation and my FAQ KBA 2589424 FAQ: Backorder Processing (BOP) with aATP - in case of specific question.
Hope this helps.
best regards,
Michael
