Preferred UoM

Hello experts,

I have maintained preferred unit of measure at item level and Product master.

Preferred unit of measures is also maintained in define measures of  attributes.

Inbound delivery in ecc is created in KG but when I pass it to ewm it is showing in KG itself.

In product master I have maintained preferred UoM as CS(cases) but no luck.

Do I have to maintain KG in Define Unit of Measure Attributes ?

Is there any thing I have missed out ? Any BADI need to be  implemented ?

I think your preferred UoM is different than base UoM, am i right?

And you want to see this preferred UoM in your delivery?

Please use EWM IMG: SCM Extended Warehouse Management >> Extended Warehouse Management >> Goods Receipt Process >> Inbound Delivery >> Manual Settings >>

Define Item Types for Inbound Delivery Process. Find related item type, tick setting : Apply ERP AUoM as SUoM.

Use

If you select this checkbox on delivery item type level, it influences the following functions:

• The UoM is taken from the ERP delivery item even if it is not the product's base UoM. If the checkbox is not selected, the EWM delivery item is always created in the base UoM.
• If a preferred UoM exists in the product master data, and the ERP quantity can be converted in whole numbers without decimal places, the quantity in the EWM inbound delivery item is set in the preferred UoM.
• When an inbound delivery is created based on an expected goods receipt (EGR), the preferred UoM is also suggested as the default value.
• You can change the UoM in the EWM inbound delivery item manually.
• The alternative UoM will be communicated to ERP as part of goods receipt posting only if this checkbox is selected. On the ERP side the AUoM will be visible as part of the material document in addition to the base UoM. However, the UoM of the ERP inbound delivery item will not be changed.

Did you maintain preferred UOM in global level data ( storage view ) and as well as warehouse data in product master?
