Hi,

Please clarify how preferred units of measure is intended to work in Public cloud?

Unit of measure conversion

Preferred unit of measure BAG.

1.) Is it possible to maintain pref.unit of measure in warehouse level?

2.) If PO is created in 48pcs -> inbound 48 pcs -> why system creates task as 1 PAL?

3.) In outbound scenario, is pref. unit of measure supposed to be the unit in picking task?

In customizing the stock.specific unit of measure is BAG only.

• Not directly maintained as “preferred UoM” per warehouse.
• Controlled via:
• Stock-specific UoM in Product Master (e.g., BAG).
• Warehouse Process Type settings and Packaging Specifications.

1. Inbound: PO in PC → Task in PAL?

• By default, inbound tasks follow base UoM (PC).
• To get 1 PAL = 48 PC:
• Maintain Packaging Specification.
• Enable HU management and auto-packing logic.

1. Outbound: Picking Task in BAG?

• Yes, if BAG is set as stock-specific UoM.
• Ensure:
• BAG is defined in Product and Warehouse Product Master.
• Use Warehouse Process Types or Packaging Specs to enforce BAG during picking.
