Ppm item closing is resulting in error

Hi is it possible to close ppm item upon closing a ps project in standard? and when I'm trying to close an ppm item manually aswell it is resulting in error like" error in data handling object" can you please help?

1.We have checked our  settings in system DI0(250) -

Transaction SPRO:

> Integration with Other SAP Components 
> SAP Portfolio and Project Management 
> Portfolio Management 
> Maintain Gen.Settings for Portf. and Proj.Mgmt Intgrn.

entry for the RFC destination  is maintained as DI0250 and Synchronization on is “true”.

2. we have checked the  BADI BADI_CPPM_RPM_PS_SYNC_PROJ in SE18 and enhancement spot is active for it.

3. Synchronization from a PS Project to a Portfolio Item-Objects for Synchronization-Inactive is “false” for source PPO and target PD Attributes for Synchronization Scenarios- Initial create and horizontal sync is maintained for above source and target. Attribute sync is maintained between source and target. We are facing issue in status Synchronization- we have mapped business transaction of source group -PD to target group PPO with business transaction DFM3 Complete.

Inbound mapping PD source to Target PPO where business transaction BAB3 Complete DFM3 complete is maintained DFM3 complete of target PPO is mapped with Z0003 closed status in source object PD.

Issue- when we are trying to change the status if portfolio item if is throwing error as “ error in object handling” and window is automatically getting closed.

Please follow below steps to replicate the error-

Step01: Go to Fiori app “portfolio items” click on create item. click on select bucket  and expand bucket structure.select CCG Strategic.click on “ok”

Step02:select item type “Building impr-15 yr and “continue”.

Step03:give Name of item , planned start/finish dates, forecast start/Finish dates and click on “save”.

Step04: select drop down for status and change it to “Approval in progress “ and click on save”You will get the error that we were specifying as : error occurred in handling of object”

Can you please help. i think there is some sync issue
