PPF message not always processed, stucked in SPPFP (SMQS)

Hi guys,

we are a few days before the start of operations at the customer plant and we are encountering the problem that PPF actions are not always processed correctly. When the GI is posted in EWM, a PPF message is created, sometimes it passes it well (message processed and GI is posted in ERP), sometimes it gets stuck on SPPFP as a yellow mark and by manual execution it makes a statement as Time timit exceeded

We are encountering this problem on the quality system, I assume it came from many actions being run in a short period of time, but how is it possible that some of them are works and some are not? I also changed the "Max. Conn" value in SMQS for the target time from 10 to 12, but it had no effect...

Hi,

Did you check the SLG1 logs to see for issues.

Also you can schedule a job out of SPPFP to pick any output in yellow and process it through a background job with specific time intervals. You can also stop the queue and ask the ABAP team to analyze the issue.

The log doesn't say anything as the ppf is not executed and the message to ERP PPF is not found via condition technique. Hence no determination log.

Job is activated and runs every minute for particular Action definition. However, document printing in ERP system is dependent on goods issue posting from EWM. Hence we have to wait a minute per document which is a no go. We are using standard GM method to post goods issue for several docids in lt_docid as input parameter to the standard method. Now we are trying to post goods issue docid by docid in a loop. Let's see if that works better.

Hi @lauinator- I guess it might be locking issue, so fixing such issue convert PPF from TRFC to Queue RFC (Serialization - I am away from SAP system ), that would be better execution performance as per asusual business process. Please let me know if you have any questions. Kind Regards Ajit
