I have recipes with secondary resources in ERP and they are integrated into APO PPDS. When PPDS planned orders are created they do not show capacity on the secondary resources in the Planning Board (/SAPAPO/CDPS0). Once I convert the planned order to a process order the capacity requirements are reflected on the secondary resources. This is a concern for the planners because the way this is currently working creates a huge blind spot for scheduling. Is this standard functionality or am I missing something?
Here's some more information. We use ERP 6.0, EHP7 and integrate to SCM (APO) 7.0, EHP3 via the CIF.
Here's the Secondary Resource setup in the recipe in ERP.

In APO the PDS representation of the recipe is as follows. I'm not seeing any of the secondary resources in the PDS, should I be?

Moving on to the Planning Board (/sapapo/cdps0), here's a PPDS planned order for this item and PDS. Notice that the order only shows up reserving capacity for the primary resource.

Here's the same PDS and item after it was converted into a process order. Notice how it is reserving capacity for the primary resource and across the secondary resources.

So to reiterate the initial question, does anyone know why the planned order does not reserve capacity across the secondary resources?
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Hi David,
Got it. I am not sure what happens in the case of ECC & traditional APO box as I have never encountered this scenario but I believe on an embedded PP/DS with S/4 HANA the secondary resources cannot be mapped on PP/DS. You can refer the below link for explanation on this behavior. You might have to check the feasibility with SAP in your scenario.

Hi David,
If you have a secondary resource, you should see it in the PDS as a mode for the activity.
Usually this is linked with a 019 class assignment in master recipe as well as in the ECC resource. Can you check this master data setup.

Thank you for your feedback. Are you referring to Alternate Resources which are setup through classification and then allows you to move an order across resources? I have that setup for many recipes and it is working. This is a little different. This reserves other resources (additional, secondary resources) when you run the order. Notice the first screen shot above of the recipe.
