PPDS heuristic SAP_PP_007 maximum stock level

Hi all

When using heuristic SAP_PP_007 with reorder point and maximum stock level, the system creates proposals for the current date, and not if the proyected stock falls below reorder point in the future.

We want to produce to max stock every time proyected stock is below reorder point or safety stock.

What should be the heuristic?

The reorder point is not a demand, it is just a trigger level and the replenishment quantity is based upon your lot-size strategies such as "replenishment to max. stock level"

In Reorder point planning SAP_PP_007 heuristic creates procurement proposals if the available stock falls below the reorder point. The reorder point should cover the expected average material requirements during the replenishment lead time.

You can use the safety stock with heuristic SAP_PP_018 Creation of safety stock in LC and SAP_PP_002 (Planning of Standard Lots).

Thanks but in S4 Hana there is no SAP_PP_018 heuristic

Hello,

If safety stock method is visible for a product and the safety stock requirement in product view then it will be considered in PP/DS planning. In that case you can use the product heuristic directly.
