PPDS | Alternative BOM as a source to generate purchase requisitions during MRP execution.

Hello PPDS experts,

I need your help.

In my business scenario I have 3 finished goods that has a common raw material (potassium chloride). This raw material are provide by 3 differents vendos.

Then I have a governamental regulamentation where I need to register the raw material and source vendor for each finished good.

Governamental Registry Product Authorized Potassiun Chloride Vendors REG_0001 FERT_A Alpha REG_0002 FERT_B Alpha and Betha REG_0003 FERT_C Alpha, Beta and Gama

I must not post goods issue to a finished goods for raw materials sourced from a non authorized vendors.

In order to avoid issues I have created 3 material code for this raw material one for each source vendor:

Raw Material Code Raw Material Description VendorROH_XPotassium ChlorideAlphaROH_YPotassium ChlorideBetaROH_ZPotassium ChlorideGama

And finnaly create alternative BOMs according authorized vendors:

So now I want to manage the correct MRP executions for this scenario where supply proposals are done considering a mix of available stock calculation and possible raw material place in BOM.

Scenario 1:

I have a huge availability just for raw material ROH_X, so MRP will not generate purchase requisitions because raw material ROH_X is a valid one for all finished goods.

Scenario 2:

I have a huge availability just for raw material ROH_Y, so MRP will not generate purchase requisitions to supply FERT_B and FERT_C, but need to generate purchase requisitions to suply FERT_A.

Scenario 3:

I have a huge availability just for raw material ROH_Z, so in this case MRP will not generate purchase requisitions to supply FERT_C, but need to generate purchase requisitions to supply FERT_B and FERT_C.

Do you guys know abpout some functionality in PPDS that alows handle this scenario?

I have tried ttwo potential solutions without sucess:

1 - Intercahnciable materials - in this solution I was not able to set same raw material for diferents groups.

2 - BOM alternative componentes - In this case I can mantein my raw materials code as a alternative componets but requirements are generated based in a fixed quota.
