PP/DS: Forward scheduling doesn’t schedule as early as expected

Hi everyone,
I’m testing the forward scheduling function in the PP/DS planning board when adding planned orders manually.

Even though the calendar is empty and forward scheduling is selected,
the system doesn’t place the order at the earliest possible start,
but somewhere later.

I left the start date empty and entered a requirement date,
but it still doesn’t behave the way I expected.

Does anyone know why this might happen,
or if there’s a good explanation or documentation for how these drag-and-drop scheduling options are supposed to work especially for forward and backward scheduling.
