Posting with reference to purchase order only possible in integrated warehouse

Can anyone please help me with this requirement.

Business wants to do stock transfer order from EWM to IM storage locations and without delivery. I tried creating the PO with the issuing and receiving storage location. Then I am trying to post goods issue in migo with respect to PO with movement type 351 but getting the error as Posting with reference to purchase order only possible in integrated warehouse,

Hello durga1093,

As you want to move the stock inside the warehouse it is mandatory to create a request for processing inside of the warehouse. This is a basic concept which we're following. The only exception of that concept might be some special processes like backflushing of components, synchronous postings, etc. So, what I'd propose to you for your request is to consider the creation of Outbound Delivery (mandatory) not relevant for picking and post it automatically. To do that you can define a special area in the warehouse from where your stock can be posted. As this is a technical restriction to have a delivery you can simply try to avoid user processing of it, for business then it should look the same as no delivery at all.

Thanks for your reply! To post the stock inside the warehouse we use transfer posting from one storage location to another storage location. But this request is for outside the warehouse were business wants to transfer from one storage location to another but outside warehouse managed.( one is inventory managed and one is warehouse managed).

Hi durga1093,

Yes, it is clear that you want to send your stock to IM location. Because of that, I proposed to use Outbound Delivery and not Posting Change. And for that Outbound Delivery, you can deactivate picking, once delivery comes to EWM it is getting posted and the material document is returned to ERP. In that case, you post the stock from a predefined storage bin (w/o picking). No user actions are required on EWM side and on the user level it looks like posting from MIGO - the rest of the work is happening in the background. Hope I'm understood.

After distribution of your delivery, it's needed to post it automatically from a predefined storage bin. The details about automatic posting you can find in this blog:

here you need to disable the status of picking in your delivery and maintained described master data.

If you like to transfer stock from EWM to IM location without delivery, simple solution is to use /N/SCWM/ADGI.
