Possibility of planned orders created 15% more than demand

Dear Experts,

We have a requirement from customer that planned orders to be created 15% more than the demand quantities after a certain month. For example:

Month                                   Jan                Feb             March                April              May    

Demand                                100               100            100                        100           100

Planned orders                      100               100           115                        115           115

(to be generated as)

Are there any standard PPDS heuristics that can be used for this type of requirement or if customized reports to be developed?

Hi Guru,

An Option would be to create a custom category for Demand which will be calculated in Planning Book as 15% of the Actual Demand. Release this calculated quantity to SNP via MC90. You can then run PP/DS heuristics as required. With this method, you will have flexibility to control the % you would want to add to the demand.

Hi Guru,

A possibility is to maintain dynamic safety stock in each bucket on SNP, and consider virtual safety stock elements in PP/DS. This way, for example, you can calculate safety stock in SNP with a macro and have it considered in PP/DS - no custom coding required.

Other than that, Method PEGID_GET_IO from BAdI /SAPAPO/RRP_PLANNING can be used to increase the requirement quantities for all demands before the Net Requirements Calculation, such that bigger receipts will be generated to cover them when you trigger the Product Heuristic.

Hi Guru,

Not sure if there is any standard PP Heuristics for this requirement. Most common ones like PP_002 - Lot for Lot, PP-003 - CTP, PP_004 - 3 horizons etc. all cater to having planned orders created as per the requirement. For your scenario, you can very well create a custom Heuristic and have it assigned to your MRP run as SAP gives option to write our own customized algorithms too for Heuristic run.

Hi Alok,

Thanks for your reply. By custom heuristic you mean the coding of the heuristics to be developed and then assign to products or if the settings could be modeled according to the requirement above? Since I was not sure which standard heuristics gives the option of time offset and tweak the demand quantities
