Policy Group Field Service Management

Hello,

is it possible to restrict the authorization in the planningboard (WFM) with policy groups, that the user only read the activitys.

I used the model filters to restrict, but the user can still edit activities/service calls that have already been assigned, which I would like to prevent.

Hi Katrin,

There is no Read-Only option for the planning board for users who are in other places allowed to edit activities and assignments.
What is the exact use case or reason not to allow editing in the planning board?

If users are not allowed to edit start and end times or responsible person but edit other activity properties, data validation rules or restrictions on ServiceAssignment might fulfill the use case.

Hi Katrin,

if the users should get read only for these objects everywhere in FSM you could adjust the permission in the user group (now policy group) in Admin portal to CREATE and UPDATE = NONE. Best do this for Activity, Service Call and ServiceAssignment object. It means the users assigned to this group cannot create or edit these objects anywhere in FSM, e.g mobile, planning board, list views, modal ui…

the User should be able to edit the activity in FieldServiceManagement (FSM). They should only be able to read in the planningboard (WFM). Do you know if we can differentiate between the policyrules in WFM and FSM?
