Plastic Tax in SAP REA

Hello Community,
Since SAP is currently blocking the implementation of SAP RDP in Italy, as the adoption of the Plastic Tax has been postponed by the government to 2024, is there a way to manage this issue on the SAP REA component?
We would like to bring the timing forward so that we have the whole of 2023 to keep plastic spending and usage under control.
I have read on some internet pages that it is possible to implement plastic TAX management with REA. Has anyone done this? Can you guide me in terms of configuration?

We are dealing with the implementation of plastic tax in Spain for Jan 2023. It is being quite tricky to find a way to register it specially in purchasing. There is apparently no field where to enter the plastic weight and % of recycled plastic for codified and no codified materials. If it helps, I am taking the option of working with a separate reporting software that will perform the calculations.

we have done some succesful configuration on this matter in SAP REA, but recommend to use the new RDP solution to fulfill legal requirement on plastic tax.

Hello Experts,

I am trying to find out the need of REA if we have already RDP implemented ?

As we know RDP can give us the insights about the Taxes , Is there anything which only REA can only do so we need to implement it or it is just an add-on in On-Premise where the RDP needs licensing ?

Hi Manuel, thank you very much for your feedback. We too are thinking of doing something custom, but I didn't understand from your reply whether you tried to explore REA and didn't find it suitable for the purpose or didn't even try. Thanks for letting me know.

Have you found anything regarding this? We have the same understanding of this capabilities of REA and plan to use it for such. Right now, we are initiating some analysis in our system to use the module, but it will be probably in a more trial and error way, to see how much we extract from the solution. But if any extra guides are available, that would be great...
