Planning heuristic not planning correctly

Hello,

We are using MRP heuristic having product heuristic SAP_PP_002 and noticed that unfirmed planned orders are not getting re-exploded during production planning run.

But the same orders are getting re-exploded during manual planning using re-explode PDS.

Because of which the new changes in recipe are transferred correctly to APO PDS but it is not getting captured in planned orders during production planning run.

Please help on the same and what could be the fix.

Thanks for the details.

The issue we are facing is whenever we change the recipe with new components, the same is successfully getting transferred to APO PDS, but re-explosion is not happening.

We have maintained planning file entry in production planning run but also it is re-exploding when running product heuristic manually but working fine when we are re-exploding the PDS manually in product view.

The planning file entry 3 of re-explosion is not displaying in /SAPAPO/RRP_NETCH

Please share your thoughts.

Hello,

When you run the product heuristic manually it is without a planning file entry.

Check the job for planning run /SAPAPO/CDPSB0 you may have activated with Planning File Entry.

You can use the planning file to select location products specifically for a net change planning.

So here leave the flag 'With Planning File Entry' empty. Execute the planning.

PP Planning Procedure for the product which has actions set to creating Planning File Entries when certain Planning Relevant Events occur.

I such situation master data changes I prefer to execute planning job with heuristic SAP_PP_021

Hello,

Reuse Mode control the explosion of the re-explodes the plan.

Use suitable receipts is set for reuse mode, for the standard heuristic SAP_PP_002 carries out a planning run to cover product requirements, generating new receipts.

Also in planning run /SAPAPO/CDPSB0 if you have activated with Planning File Entry(if you want to execute net change planning) the system checks planning file Entry, in /SAPAPO/RRP_NETCH for reuse mode which control the plan explosion.

Please refer the below SAP help link on reuse mode setting that controls how a procurement planning heuristic processes existing procurement proposals and Determination of the Reuse Mode.

Reuse Mode

A new explosion is always necessary when the existing orders need to be adjusted to reflect changes in the master data. In the case use standard heuristic SAP_PP_021 New explosion.

Hi,

It is possible to re-explode the plan for an in-house production or planned order with a PP-firmed and Output Firmed status if the order fulfills criteria detailed in Cause section.

The re-explosion of planned orders, which do not meet criteria for re-explosion, can be influenced using the BAdI /SAPAPO/RRP_EXPLODE. See below SAP Notes for more information:

• 2114649 - New Explosion: New exit to filter IO node before re-exploding
• 2350440 - New BAdI method for the re-explosion of firmed orders

When the Planning File Entry is “Reexplode Plan” or “Delete Unfixed Receipts, Explode Fixed Receipts Again” and Product Heuristic (like SAP_PP_002) is run, the same criteria will be used to decide if the Planned/Production/Process Order is reexploded or not.
