Hi Experts - I did refer to the note 2568340 and also the link. I created the PROMOTION attributes, assigned them to my PA, created the KFs, wrote the CALC logics - all taking the reference of SAP6 settings. I have finally uploaded the master data values as well.
But my planning area still doesn't show up in the drop down for 'Analyze Promotions' app.
PS: My PA is a copy of unified planning area and not of SAP6. The copy is done sometime in 2017 (post 1708, before 1802).
Is there something I am missing here?
Thanks,
Regards - Guru

Hi Guru,
You also need the business meaning section to be filled for some of the promo key figures. For example, in SAP6, the PROMOUPLIFT key figure has the business meaning of Promotion Uplift (Source). This seems to be missing in your screenshot. You will need also the Promotion Final.

Hi All - it's now started showing! I have added the compound master data in my planning levels associated with PROMO and reactivated my planning area. Previously, it wasn't there and I was only having simple MD type.

Just so to complete this thread, please note to also add business meaning to attributes along with KFs:

Thanks alecsandraghita and anurag2956 for the support,

Hi Guru,
Though you would have tried already , but if not can your select your planning area in "User Preference" app?
Please let me know.

Hi Anurag - Having PA in user preferences will only bypass the pop-up that asks for the PA but whether we can add promotions in the later screen is decided still by if the PA is configured for promotions. And the fact that the PA doesn't show in the drop-down means something is not yet right with that PA (or a standard issue, as everything appears to have configured right from my perspective).
PS: I have anyways done that but I can't add promotions in the screen as there's an issue with PA which I am not able to figure out.
Thanks,

Hi Guru,
Is the Demand Planner business role assigned to your user?

Hi Alecs - I do have the role assigned. I can see other planning areas in the dropdown for which I can add promotions. But not mine. I did create PROMOTION MD as per SAP6, the required planning levels, and the KFs for them. Sample display of MD, and the KF for reference below (I added description attribute in MD, I hope it's okay).

Thanks,
