Planned order created from sales order even if there is a production order.

Hi,

This is a scenario

there is a long production order 27.09.24 - 30.09.24

there is a sales order requirement date 29.09.24

because of production order is long it actually will have needed quantity for 29.09.24 but when we run MRP it still creates smaller qty planned order to actually meet demand date of sales order.

i do understand why its happening but need to know how i could avoid this additional planned order. what setting i could try change.

Hello

Very often this is an issue with your rescheduling check. Either production orders are not included in the rescheduling check, of this specific order is outside the rescheduling horizon.

thank you for your suggestion but after testing and changing setting for horizon 0 days or 100 days it still creates additional planned order for that sales order. maybe because its how our system is set up or im missing some additional settings.
