planned order convert to production order

hello experts:

I meet a question when planned order convert to production order with CO41,ex:there are 1000 QTY,a planned order ,

I want to convert production is 300 and planned order remain 700 QTY,but I find planned order has been delete . I don't want to generate another planned order through mrp .

is there any way solution this problem?

Hi,

When you convert a planned order to a production order using transaction CO41, the system assumes that the entire quantity of the planned order is being converted to a production order. Therefore, the remaining quantity of the planned order is deleted by the system, as it is assumed that it is no longer required.

To achieve your desired result of converting only a portion of the planned order to a production order and leaving the remaining quantity in the planned order you can use the partial order convert option in MD04 or CO40 with partial Conversion check box.
