Planned Independent Requirement from IBP to S/4

Hi,

I got a question related to planned independent requirement (PIR). When we integrate PIR from IBP to S/4, we consider the output key figure "Consensus Demand Final" to integrate using CPI-DS. But this key figure is basically copied from Key figure "Customer receipt" which is derived from supply planning operator. This means that we are considering the final delivery date when customer has to receive the product. But when we integrate the PIR from IBP to S/4 this is at weekly, Product and location level. So in S/4 we are not accounting the customer lead time as the PIR is at Location level and not at customer specific level. Is it the correct approach to go with the standard copy operator given by SAP to copy Customer receipt in to consensus demand final?

Should it not be the case where the standard copy operator must consider "Customer Supply" Key figure to copy in to Consensus demand final rather than "Customer Receipt" Key figure. Awaiting on you responses.

Regards,

Guru

Hi,

It depends on business requirement transferring of demand forecast into SAP ECC or S/4HANA.

In general, after the demand planning process completed business arrives at a consensus forecast with agreed all other departments (Sales, Marketing, Demand), agreed consensus plant will be transferred to ECC or S/4HANA for production and procurement planning and execution purpose.

Some customer transfer planned independent requirements to ECC or S/4HANA after supply finite/infinite planning results and building some additional logic (considering leadtimes) to it.
