Hi All,
I was wondering if i could use planned cross dock features in SAP EWM without IS-Retail, it is using with merchandise distribution per my knowledge, is it possible to use without IS-Retail? i dont quite understand regarding allocation table in ERP side to know or assign inbound outbound with the same reference.
i read documentation in below link but didnt help.
Merchandise Distribution Cross-Docking | SAP Help Portal
Please need help to use planned cross dock in EWM, opportunistic cross dock in EWM only needs EWM configuration.
Thanks.

Hi Donny, for EWM it should be reference from one delivery to another (HU or Delivery). It does not matter if this reference comes from IS Retail or from any other System (even non SAP ERP System). In opportunistic CrossDocking (EWM Triggered) you have to map it with a BAdi. If you can create all needed references (e.g. Final ship-to party for the HU) it should work on EWM side.

Hi Daniil,
I'm working with S4 1909 embedded EWM, opportunistic cross docking i have already achieved it without BADI (inbound-driven or outbound-driven)
but for planned cross docking, how do we achieve it? how do we link one delivery to another? i cant seem to find any solution or configuration to link the delivery in EWM.
Thanks.

you need to add references in the delivery ( in the interface BAdi or with PPF, or with Background Job). It is special reference document type (if there no HUs). POM reference document in Inbound and Outbound delivery items which belong together.
See Class /SCWM/CL_MEDI_SERVICES Method CREATE_MAPPING
Hi Daniil,
Thanks for the reply, i found out that planned CD with merchandise requires IS-Retail backend.
Thanks.
