Picking in EWM is not happening

I am trying to do picking in EWM. However, I am getting an error " System could not determine source bin". There is enough stock available in the bin. My search strategy is also working which is why in the long message I could see that system has determined storage type/section/bin but it is failing to determine the exact bin quantity.

Could you please guide?

Below are the steps I followed

I ran the inbound cycle end to end to boost up the stock

Created an outbound delivery for less quantity

Trying to create WT in EWM but failing due to the above-mentioned error.

ok, first thing: you do NOT need a stock removal control indicator. It might be that you want to use it, but this does not have to be any reason why you can not pick. And you also do NOT need an activity area. This is a very important control instrument, but you do not need it for the system in order to create a warehouse task or a warehouse order.

First thing to check would be which storage types your picking search sequence has found (you wrote that you can see that, but what does the log really show? Maybe you can show this.). The next thing is to check the available quantity in the warehouse management monitor. And does that stock really correspond to what you are trying to pick? And then you might want to check the bin if it is blocked.

Fazal is right, additionaly please check your storage bin, maybe it's blocked for removal.

You have to be sure if there is no other open warehouse tasks for your stock in this storage bin.

If you use the activity area, you should check if your storage bin is sorted by activity and activity area which is used by your warehouse order.

Hi Sanjay,

Please check Product master /SCWM/MAT1 for the product and make sure you have maintained the Stock Removal control indicator in the Warehouse tab. Please maintain and try again.
