Picking and distributive putaway in one step

Hello!

I have simple warehouse process. But I don't know How can I reach it in EWM.

Initial data:

I have bin1 and bin2 with some product in room1. And empty bin3 and bin4 in room2.

Goal:

Pick the product from bin1, bin2 in room1 on pick-HU and putaway to bin3, bin4 aaccordingly.

Process:

I create 2 product WTs in adprod with WPT 3030. WT1 from bin1 to bin3 and WT2 from bin2 to bin4. When I save the system create one warehouse order. It's ok.

Problem:

When worker in RFUI confirm WT1 on pick_HU the system at once create HU-WT to move it to bin3. And worker can'not confirm WT2 on the same pick-HU.

Question:

How can I reach my goal by standard functionality or with minor enhancements.

Thank you in advance!

Hi alexander_pozhidaev

Addition to Juergen, Could you please try the below since documentation looks like destination should not populate while confirmation.

Hi, Ajit.

This settings for another purpose and relevant only for RFUI. My process doesn't work in GUI too.

When I pick goods I need the system creates product WTs from HU to destination bin. But the system create HU WT when I confirm first pick WT on HU.

Hi, Ajit.

I've been implementing EWM about 10 years :). So, I know almost all settings and tried different ways. But it doesn't work.

I am very surprised that EWM could not realize this simple process.

You can try yourself. You need only 4 bins, some product, packaging material and standard WPT 3030. If you find decision I will be very grateful to you.

Hi Alex,

Earlier I thought it might be the Storage Control issue thatwhy I mentioned WPT set up.

It was my mistake before and now I am admitting this as issue while use single Pick HU for picking Multiple Bins and Destination Bins for Internal Process after tested based upon your requirement.

As per my understanding, I found below options.

1- I am not sure about your business, but Resource and Queue (name as dummy pallet or Cart -Pack Material since these are free text to enter) for this internal process so user do not have to create/scan pick HU (disable pick HU screen during internal process from config) and would be use only for tracking purpose.

2- I was checking in the system for Product WT. Class-/SCWM/CL_RF_CONFIRM_PICKING Method: FILL_CONFIRM_BASIC

Need to clear dest HU so that It could create Product WT (Implicit Enhancement), but pick HU no would not store in confirmed WT.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

Kind Regards,

Ajit

Hi, Ajit.

I have to use pick-HU because my original process ,more complicated. To move from room1 to room2 I need to use LOSC, because pick and putaway perform not the same workers.

Hi Alex,

I guess if you use storage group, then you could fix it easily with LOSC and picking would work since same interim destination.

Assume Room 1 and Room 2 are different storage groups which needs to update in Bin Master, then LOSC must be set up from source storage group to destination group (Assume room1 to room2) with interim bin.

Flow=> Picking from Room 1 ----> Interim Bin ------> Putaway to Room2

I think WOCR also comes into picture.

Kind Regards,

Ajit

Hi,

I don't think there is a way that you can use one pick-HU for two tasks going from two bins to another two bins. A pick-HU would always go to one bin only.

But I have never tried "distributive putaway" in a WOCR. Actually I don't think I can say that I ever understood what it is supposed to be. Did you try that in your WOCR?

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!

Hi Juergen!

Thanks for you answer, but distributive putaway require one source HU/bin. So it doesn't work.
