Hello Expert,

Any idea how the planned HU gets calculated in Pick by Cart application? I've created WO which contains 3 warehouse task but still when I open the 'Pick by Cart' app it only shows only 1 planned HU.

As shown below it always show 1 HU in preparation steps.

Expected result should be as mentioned below.

Please share if any knows how system considers multiple planned HU's.

Note: below image is take from SAP demo video.

Regards,

Ganesh

Hi,

well, you should check what is calculated for your WO (ending on 5236). The number depends on a lot of things, but it is not part of the pick cart app, but on your WOCR. So it depends on the packing profile and the pack specification.

All the above is no official SAP statement.

Want to learn EWM?

Check for EWM courses: https://training.sap.com/trainingpath/Applications-Extended+Warehouse+Management-EWM+in+S4HANA

Get a SAP Learning Hub Subscription: https://training.sap.com/learninghub

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!

And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!

Hi Juergen ,

Does this mean we need to create pack specification for each material ?

Hi,

"Does this mean we need to create pack specification for each material ?"

No. The pack spec is for a pick-HU, so without product assignment, also for the determination you do not use the product.

But if your WO now has already a planned HU, this should be based already on a pick-HU determination. So the "problem" is in your packaging material resp. the products you are packing. You packaging material is big enough to accomodate the complete quantity.

Or do you have more then one WO? Then you get some split, which can be created by several factors, like different activity areas, or that only one pick-HU is allowed for one WO.

Hello juergen.pitz,

I've only 1 WO & 3 WT, also I'm using limit & filter LI01 for 25kg & 5kg respectively.

So then reason could be packing material is able to accommodate complete quantity. But may I ask how can I check quantity packing material can accommodate?

Hi,

"But may I ask how can I check quantity packing material can accommodate?"

The maximum weight and volume is on the tab "Weight, Vol. & Dim." in your pack spec, on the level of the pack material. This information comes from the pack material, so you can also check it directly in there.

Additional you can check the log for the WO creation. If you activate the full log, the system gives some information about what it determines.
