Phased-out products with remaining inventory

Hello IBP Experts,

We have a scenario where a product is phased-out and customer doesn't want to forecast this product anymore. However, they still have a lot of inventory and they want to utilize this remaining inventory.

Does any of you have experience in such scenario and is there a Best Practice in IBP to handle this specific case?

Hi rai.serrano,

I believe product substitution is the best way out in order to utilize the remaining inventory of the old product. But right now there is a limitation that it works only with 'Time Series Optimizer'. In case you are not using optimizer then product substitution can also be achieved by attribute transformation.
