Hi All,
There are standard reserved names available when writing a key figure calculation for "PERIODIDFR" and "PERIODIDTO"
Does anybody know where and how to set the values for these attributes?
I have a business requirement to sum the data for a key figures for next few months (determined by value in another key figure KF2). I was thinking if I can set PERIODIDTO value based on another key figure KF2
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Vijay,
To model your requirement, you will have to use attribute transformation. Instead of hard-coding the number of periods in the PERIODID calculation, you can use attribute as a Key Figure and model the periods to be added in that.
To the best of my knowledge, PERIOIDIDFR and PERIOIDIDTO are reserved to model the planning horizon for a attribute as a Key Figure (I might be wrong here)
Thanks,
Pallavi

Hi Pallavi/Vijay,
Do you have any example for the solution you are proposing because I guess you are talking about using IF logic in $$PERIODIDCU$$ and comparing it with attribute as a Key Figure where you can have any value. I have seen similar logic working for Non-Unified planning areas but NOT for UNIFIED planning area.
Any sample example will be highly appreciated.

Akhilesh

Hi Vijay,
As Pallavi suggested go with attribute transformation.
SAP reserved these PERIODFR and PERIODIDTO attributes to define the planning horizons and used in internal calculations.
