Dear Team,
We are in the process of configuring Block Planning in our environment.
But one of the requirement here is we need to define blocks which are overlapped with each other.
E.g.
Block Planning defined for resource RES01 at location LOC1.
Blocks are defined as below. Every block is automatically get defined one after another (no overlapping).
E.g.:
Box “BLOCK1” has start date as 03.10.2022 and end date as 30.10.2022
Box “BLOCK2” has start date as 30.10.2022 and End date as 27.11.2022
Question: Is there a way we can define blocks which can overlap each other for some period?
E.g. –
Box “BLOCK1" will have start date as 03.10.2022 and end date as 30.10.2022
Box “BLOCK2” will have start date as 25.10.2022 and End date as 27.11.2022
So between 25.10.2022 till 30.10.2022 both blocks will be valid.
Is it possible to define overlapping blocks through standard procedure? If not, then which Enhancement can be use for customizing the same?
Thanks & Regards
Shashank

hi,
I don’t believe it is possible. I am not what is the business requirement which requires such a setup.
The blocks can very easily changed with multiple DS heuristic which are available for accommodating any adhoc planning issues.
