Hello Expert,

We are working optimization scenario with IBP. Business Supply chain design as below

Two customers -C1 & C2 and Manufacturing Plants-F1 & F2. Both customers demand supply from both plants with 4 & 6 Ratios.

Run the Optimization Customer received done as "Non-Delivery Cost Rate for Customer Demand" and its working file while checking the Production SoS its consider only F1 Plant resource and Plant-F2 resource did not utilize, no Utilization %.

Please help to know the solution how to use second plant resource with optimization run.

Thanks In advance

Rajesh Tiwari

One addition:
The optimizer supports also quotas - but has its own set of key-figures. For more information please check section 'Defining Quotas for the Optimizer and the Finite Heuristic' on this help page.

Please maintain Production Cost Rate keyfigure if you are using optimizer. Optimizer do not support the ratios.

Hope this helps.

Hello Rajesh

Since you are using optimizer, hence thier will be many factors as to why the optyimizer is not selecting the plant F2 and its resources.

1) Make sure you have enough demand to cover more than 100% capapcity of all resources in F1 so that once capacity is full the system will piut the addtional demand to be produced and F2.

2) If you want to split the prodcution between 2 factories then you should not use optimizer but heuristics so that the split is respected.

3) In case you have enough demand to cover capacity of both F1` and F2 and still see that F2 resources are not getting utilised, then it is a cost modelling issue. check production cost rate, the thru put rate of each SOS in F2 and see if those cost are significantly higher than F1 or not.
