Dear EWM Community,

we have recently implemented cross-order staging on our EWM 2020 instance. One thing we have not figured out are open WT of unnecessary materials. Is there an automated way to delete them?

I will try to explain with the current steps:

1- I create a PMR of 1000 pieces. Material is replenished with max quantity of 500 in PSA.

2- System creates WT to PSA for 500 pieces

3- I consume 400 pieces, system creates open WT of 400 pieces

4- I close the production order with 400 pieces

The situation is:

- 100 pieces in PSA --> We use the std procedure to return it

- Open WT to PSA for 400 pieces --> Is there an automatic procedure to clear those open WT?

Thank you for the collaboration!

Hi Dario Maneri,

Could not find a job that delete open WT

How are you performing replenishment? by creating staging WT from "Stage For Production" app or other replenishment method?

Have you scheduled the job to execute the replenishment? when stock goes below min replenishment qty then schedule job may create new WT.

Thanks,

Shriram Patil

Hello Patil,

we perform replenishment via job /SCWM/R_MFG_STAGING every 5 minutes which creates WT from stock to PSA according to master data defined in TCODE /SCWM/PSASTAGE.

Dario

Hi Dario,

The scheduled job will create Staging WT when (qty in PSA area + qty on open staging WT to stage prod in PSA) is less than "Min Prod. Qty PSA" (check /SCWM/PSASTAGE setting) irrespective of qty required for production order.

Example- If PSA area has 1pc and open WT to stage prod to PSA has 1PC (= 2PC) and "Min Prod. Qty PSA" is 3 then system will create staging WT to stage product in PSA and Qty on WT will be from "Replemt Qty" field of /SCWM/PSASGAE" which is 4 per below screen shot.

This is applicable for both single order and cross order staging.

If you cancel open WT then system will again create new WT unless until Qty in PSA is equal or greater than "Min Prd. Qty. PSA"

If you are not consuming these products frequently then scheduling needs to be change or you can manually stage whenever needed.

Thanks,

Shriram
