Hello,
is here anyone who were facing the issue when you need to deliver big machine you have only one delivery item QTY1 and One serial number. But the machine is so big so it's delivered on multiple truck and also on different days.
So in best case we need to split in delivery for ex 0,5 QTY but with same serial number.
And In SAP its not possible to deliver same Serial number in multiple deliveries or have multiple HU's with same SN in one delivery.
Thank you for any answer.

Hi, In Project Systems (MTO/ETO environment), we come across with similar kind of processes What I am understanding is that, traceability is prime important here.
We approach similar kind of processes with following broad steps:
1) We use WBS BOM to represent the final assembly/product which is to be delivered to the customer. We can make as many deliveries as possible using CNS0 - delivery from projects systems.
2) If we split the product into 3 pieces which we are sending to the customer, then each will be creating 3 sub-assemblies and each will be sent separately (may be multiple deliveries). This enables traceability in terms of transportation/custom clearing/insurance point-of-view.
3) Using Project Systems - WBS/ Networks/Milestones will be so flexible here to make the phases of various key processes (like production planning).
4) After all the 3 pieces reaches the customer, we will do the final process of assembling and we will get the final product which is desired by the customer. This process also will be one of the WBS. Serial number of the product will be assigned here.
I may be explaining you about an example. Your requirement may also be similar, and it can be approached at higher level.
