OBP with SDI

For a multitude of reasons, I have a client who needs OBP but also needs to utilize SDI for the time being, until their source system is upgraded for RTI.

According to what I understand, you have to use Sample model SAP7 with SDI and are unable to use SDI with SAP7F. Is that an accurate understanding and if so, what is the process to getting the SAP7 Sample Model unhidden so it can be utilized as a source to create a new planning area?

Sample Model SAP7 works with SDI

Sample model SAP7F works with RTI.

in IBP2211, SAP has said "Note that in the Sample Model Entities app, the SAP7 sample planning area is no longer available in systems where no planning area has been copied from the SAP7 sample planning area so far.

"

You need to contact SAP if you need sample planning area SAP7 available in your new IBP system.
