In S4 we all know number ranges, for example for Product IDs.
Does this notion of creating/maintaining number ranges exist in IBP?
Or is there any possibility to automate the creation of ranges with CPI-DS.
Hi Vincent,
I wonder whether IBP has such a need, Coz IBP, as such, don't have ownership of any such Critical Master Data. However, in CI-DS, I see option to create the number series. The option is to use Row Generation Transformation with some arithmetic and string functions in Target Query.
Best Regards,
Riyaz

I have tested and it does not make a difference currently whether or not the dates are represented by integer, navchar, timestamp, decimal attributes). There is no possibility of selecting based on ranges or operators other than include or exclude.
Therefor I have submitted an Improvement Request for SAP IBP here: Filtering (currently only = or ≠) in Attribute-Based Filtering / Planning Filters (ranges, ≥, ...)
Please upvote the improvement request if you find this valuable.

Good question Vincent - assuming number ranges are required for created order elements as in ERP.
TimeSeries Planning does not need as transaction data is technically not creating orders but determining keyfigure quantities in relevant time buckets (Day / Week / Month)
In Order-based Planning generated orders have numbering as Tnnnnnn. I am sure there is number range under the hoods part of Global Configuration. But not all configuration parameters are visible outside SAP. There are bunch of "unpublished" Global Config parameters managed by and visible only to SAP Operations team.
