Normal ATP for substitution of predecessor product stock for successor sales order

Hi Experts,

Expected way of working in Normal ATP( I know this can be achieved with Rule based ATP)

when sales order is created for successor, system must always check first if there is stock on the predecessor

example 1)

stock on predecessor : 100 bottles

stock on successor : 50 bottles

customer orders 50 bottles from successor -> system must check predecessor stock first and if there is not enough stock only then it should use Successor product stock.

example 2)

stock on predecessor : 100 bottles

stock on successor : 150 bottles

customer orders 120 bottles on successor > system proposes 100 bottles of predecessor and 20 from successor

Is this can be achieved with normal ATP in APO. We are not using Rule based ATP.

Please let me know if we can achieve this.

Hi Srini,

As you are not using RBA (which could be a good solution to your requirement), I think it is difficult to get it in standard way. I suppose the predecessor & Successor materials & batches are different here. If so, if you are entering Sale order for material (successor), it will check for that batch containing successor material only. If the Successor & Predecessor materials are same but batches are different, then your requirement would be sufficed in standard SAP only.
