No Valid PPM/PDS found during capacity leveling

Hi All,

I am running capacity leveling interactively by loading resource in planning book.

I get error message as "No valid PPM/PDS found".

Please suggest what needs to be checked and how.

Hello,

Open transaction /SAPAPO/RES01, enter the resource and set the flag "Model Independent Selection".and check Model Assignments of resource.

Also check the lot size o PDS/PPM with order quanity.

1. Where to check Model Assignment of Resource ? I don't see any option of Model.

2. Lot Size is having large range from 1 to 9999999

Any other pointers ?

If your PDS/PPM is valid and error message no is /sapapo/msdp_cap117

Then please refer SAP note,

2129002 - Capacity leveling not leveling overloads

2279407 - Capacity Leveling not leveling overloads

1959948 - PDS does not exist error stops capacity leveling

1952377 - Wrong error message issued in capacity leveling

What do you mean by "If your PDS/PPM is valid"? How to check this ?

Capacity leveling is run on resource and there are many products tagged to this single resource.

What is the meaning of "Valid" here ?

Hello,

Valid on the date of order and lot size.

You need to check system log for any particular product have this issue.

If it for all products or or few product with some different setup.

Did you check the SAP notes from my previous posting?

Hi Brahmankar,

The PPM/PDS is valid for future horizon till 31.12.9999.

I tried to run capacity leveling via background using /sapapo/snp05 for single product for one month duration and found that if I delete some orders then I don't get this error - but why ???

All the orders fall in valid dates of PDS but still deleting some planned orders , I don't get this error...

What is the reason?

The notes that you have mentioned are for implementation so will take some time to conclude.

Hello,

Are these old planned orders are created with same PDS? Please check the PDS change date and order creation dates.

Also I would suggest to test this by implementing SAP not for same issue.
