No safety stock or MAD is caculated but reorder point in automatic reorder point

Hi All,

Im using MRP type V2 (Automatic Reorder Point Planning) with automatic calculation of both reorder point and safety stock based on consumption history in SAP S4 HANA public cloud.

Issue:
When I run the forecast, the system calculates the reorder point, but it does not calculate safety stock or MAD (Mean Absolute Deviation). I’ve checked the configuration for the MRP type, and it includes both reorder point and safety stock.

Details:

• MRP Type: V2
• Lot Size: EX
• Service Level: 99.9%
• Planned Delivery Time: 4 days
• Forecast Model: Constant
• Forecast Period: Monthly

Question:
Am I missing any configuration or step that would enable the system to calculate safety stock and MAD during forecasting?

Dear @Sindhu_Ravi,

I recreated your case in my environment and the result is as follows, is that what you meant?

1. In CBC below settings:

2. Forecasting view and Execute forecast

3. Click adopt and you should see:

If MAD is still blank/0 and you’ve verified all the above, you’re most likely hitting:

• Capture screenshots of:
  • V2 configuration in CBC,
  • Material’s MRP2 + Forecast views,
  • Forecast run selection and result,
• And open an SAP incident under component (typically) PP-MRP or MM-IM/LO-MD, describing issue and referencing S/4HANA Public Cloud 2508.
