Hello,
in the configuration guide of a new productintroduction, I find the follow step :

planning-area.pngHi Oliver,
Ensure that the forecast level contains the attribute with the business meaning Product ID. - meaning is PLM app reads the business meaning of the Attributes. if set the business meaning in planning area configuration then only you can see the Planning area in PLM app.
refer the below screen shot for planning area config\

Hello Oliver,
The above reply is very helpful . Small addition , it might help your query . The statement is referring to the "Aggregation Level" while executing the forecasting run with attribute PRDID. I could remember, unless , system will not consider the life cycle indicator , please test it at your end.
Application job with Job template : Statistical Forecasting
NPI Steps are-
- Perform pre-requsite for NPI
-Settings for product Life cycle
- Manage Product Life cycle
-Add life cycle indicator in the forecasting model
- Execute the forecasting run.
Thank you,
Gaurab
