New inspection object type (IOT4) not able to generate in Quality system

Hi All,

I am trying to generate new version of IOT4 currently its in "0" version and I need to generate it to "1" which I did it in development.

But its not allowing me to do same in Quality. I saw SAP note 2866278 but that didnt help me much.

Could you please help me how to generate new version.

Thank you very much for the reply, I maintained the version successfully it worked.

But when I am trying to create inspection rule I am getting below error and version is maintained in the properties.whatsapp-image-2022-06-12-at-95338-pm.jpegerror1.jpeg

Hi Shriram,

I found SAP notes for this kind of error but I think its for decentralized EWM 3050915, 3132047 but ours is emebedded one.

Hi Basha Sahik,

I was getting same error, check if below properties maintained for IOT4, delete properties first then version and save and exit from node. recreate version "1" again keeping dummy version "0". system will creates default properties when we generate new version.

With these steps I was able to setup inspection rule and executed scenarios as well.

Thank you very much again for your quick reply and answers now issue solved.

What I have done is, I have removed complete 0 version and activated 1 version but still I am facing issue again I have generated 2 version and activated it. Now I am able to create inspection rule.

Hi Aslam,

below is the error I am facing I am selecting IO4 and clicking on Generate new version and getting the error.

We debugged the error and understood that there are no entries in table /SCWM/QIOT I am not sure how to fill the table.

I used the below work around in 2021 release, see if this work for you

Open Maintain Inspection Object Types Version (IMG > SCMEWM > EWM > Cross Process Settings > Quality Management > Maintain Inspection Object Types Version )

Add dummy record for Version “0” for Inspection Object Type "4" and check mark Activate IOT

Then Generate Inspection Object Types Version
