Dear guru's,

I am busy with configuring the inbound process in EWM and I'm facing some challenges with configuring the WPTs. I want for some specific materials configure the process of doing Unloading>Goods Receipt> Pack>Putaway(final step).

In EWM>CP settings>WT>Define WPT I have setup three WPTs (see attachment v1) for the configuration. But one main thing I don't understand is how the WPTs being processed. For example, I have WPT 9010 for GR( materials are in the GR Zone), where I in wpt 9010 have entered the dest st type/bin and in WPT 2010 I have setup the dest and source st type and bin. But how can EWM automate this? What I mean is, how this overflow from one WPT to the other is working?

Hi Onno, to customize different process steps you use process oriented storage control in EWM. There you can set process type for the next step. Check the default settings for default warehouse, I think it is a process with 3 steps customized there. Not sure if process type is switched there or not in examples, but it can be done there.

And change process type category/activity to inbound, you have internal. See 1* process types as example.
