Multiple production versions

How can I set up a material to use multiple production versions with specific percentage criteria when creating planned orders in APO? Lets say I have 1001 and 1002 as production versions of a material, how can I make MRP to use lets say 60 percent use 1001 and the remaining 40 percent will use 1002? Is this possible? How can I set this up?

Added info: Planned orders are calculated with DRP. And no PPMs on APO. Planned orders are sent to R3 with only quantity and date. The planned orders when created on R3 uses only production version 1001, I think the issue is on R3 setup but we have already entered quota for production and assigned lot size to allow quota split, but this has no effect. What else could be missing config? Thanks!

Regards.

Hello,

You can use the quota arrangement for it

In transaction /SAPAPO/SCC_TQ1, you have to maintain quota arrangement for the 2 PDS.

Here define inbound quota for your production version /PDS define % of usage based on production versions (PDS). Make sure required splitting activated in quota arrangement.

And then run quota heuristic SAP_PP_Q001 in product view or through planning run /SAPAPO/CDPSB0.

When you run quota heuristic, requirements are splitted between the sources of supply according to the quota arrangement percentage within the quota arrangement period.

Hello, thank you for your answer. I updated the description with additional information, maybe the issue is on R3 setup?

Hello,

Please check the Lot size used in MRP1 view and in OMI4 check that lot size is define for Splitting quota.

Also check MEQ1 for quota setting, if possible please share the screen shot.
